PQ Lore: An aspiring Champion of Khorne sought an artifact of his patron god, but found instead a pack of rampaging Ogres driven to a frenzy by the artifact's evil power. The Ogres overpowered and caged the warrior, and he remains imprisoned even now, his powers weakened by his inability to sate his bloodlust.

As punishment for his failure, the Blood God is slowly transforming the warrior into a mindless, gibbering Chaos Spawn.
